This privacy policy explains how WyrldWeaver collects, uses, and protects your information.
Information We Collect
Account Information
We collect your email address, name, and profile information when you create an account through our authentication provider (Auth0). This information is used to identify you and provide access to your campaigns.
Creative Content
All campaigns, characters, lore, notes, and other creative content you create within WyrldWeaver is stored securely and belongs entirely to you. We never claim ownership of your creative work.
Payment Information
Payment data is processed by Stripe and never stored on our servers. We only receive confirmation of successful payments and subscription status.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our service, such as feature usage and performance metrics. This data cannot be linked back to individual users or their content.
How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery
Your account information and creative content are used solely to provide WyrldWeaver's services to you, including saving your campaigns and enabling collaboration features.
Communication
We may use your email address to send important service updates, security notifications, and billing information. Marketing emails are always opt-in.
Support
For certain support queries, we may need to access your account information and relevant content to help resolve your issue.
Future Sharing Features
Community Sharing (Future)
We plan to introduce features that allow you to share campaigns, actors, or lore elements with the WyrldWeaver community. This will be entirely opt-in - you will need to explicitly choose what to share, and you can remove shared content at any time.
Your Control
You will always have granular control over what you share and how your content is used. You can participate in community features while keeping other content completely private.
Data Security & Storage
Encryption
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and at rest using industry-standard encryption. Your creative content is stored securely and access is restricted to authorized personnel only when necessary for support.
Data Location
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by reputable cloud service providers with strong security practices and compliance certifications.
Access Controls
Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel and only when necessary for service delivery, support, or security purposes.
Your Rights & Control
Access & Portability
You can access all your data through the WyrldWeaver interface. We are currently working on a way for you to export your campaigns, characters, and lore in standard formats.
Correction & Updates
You can update your account information and creative content at any time through your account settings or by contacting us on Discord.
Deletion
You can delete any individual artifacts you have created (campaigns, characters, lore) or your entire account at any time. When you delete content, it is permanently removed from our active systems. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days for security purposes.
Withdrawal of Consent
For any opt-in features (such as sharing), you can withdraw your consent at any time, and we will stop using your content for those purposes immediately.
When We Share Information
Service Providers
We work with trusted service providers (Auth0, Stripe and CloudFlare) who help us deliver our services. These providers have access only to information necessary for their specific services and are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, but we will notify you unless prohibited by law.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale, your information may be transferred to the new owner, but the same privacy protections will apply.
International Users
GDPR Compliance
For users in the European Union, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are currently located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
Age Requirements
Although TTRPGs are for all ages, WyrldWeaver is not intended for children under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us on Discord so we can delete it.
Users between 13 and 18 should have parental consent before using WyrldWeaver and providing any personal or financial information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the WyrldWeaver interface, and the updated policy will include a new "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of WyrldWeaver after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
